How to get around the city

Everything you need to know to get around Porto with ease, from public transport to the best routes.

The metro is the easiest way to get around the city

The Yellow line (D) serves the entire city and goes as far as Vila Nova de Gaia.

To get to the Boavista area — Parque da Cidade, Casa da Música, Museu de Serralves — take any metro on lines A, B, C, E or F at Trindade station and get off at the Casa da Música stop.

A beautiful walk along the coast

To travel along the entire coast, catch bus 500 on Rua Mouzinho da Silveira or Rua Nova da Alfândega. The journey goes from Ribeira to the beaches of Matosinhos, passing through Foz do Douro.

The Andante Card

The Andante is the transport card valid on all public transport in the city of Porto.

Each passenger needs their own card, which they can top up with the number of journeys they need.

Children up to 4 years old travel for free.
