One of the most anticipated festivals of the Portuguese summer is back, with a few updates. MEO Marés Vivas is dropping the “Vivas” and will now be called simply MEO Marés — and it is also moving house, swapping Vila Nova de Gaia for Leça da Palmeira, in Matosinhos.

The new edition takes place on 17, 18 and 19 July 2026, maintaining the format of multiple stages by the sea that has made the festival one of the highlights of the summer in the region.

The line-up already has its first confirmations: Da Weasel return to the festival on the first day, this time accompanied by an orchestra, in a special concert. This will be followed by names such as Seal and Plutónio, with more announcements expected in the coming weeks.

MEO Marés is now one of the events that attracts the most visitors to the Porto metropolitan area during the summer, bringing together national and international audiences for three days of music by the Atlantic.

For those coming from abroad, the connection between the centre of Porto and Matosinhos is quick and simple, whether by metro or train, allowing you to combine festival nights with days of visiting the historic city.
